Welcome Parents :)
Information for 2011-2012
New beginnings:
There is a lot to look forward to at 19th Sparks and Brownies Brantford for the 2011-2012 year. The program has undergone extensive revisions to provide our Sparks and Brownies with the best girl guide experience possible. We have a new staff with 5 organized, energetic and enthusiastic leaders that are more than excited for what the new year entails. There are new crafts, songs, dances, badges and insignia to look forward to. We hope that you are able to join us in the upcoming year! :)
The program begins September 2011 and runs until the end of March 2012.
Our Program:
Sparks and Brownies meet once a week every Monday night at the Grace Anglican Church, 4 Pearl Street, Brantford from 6:30-8:00PM.
Guiders lead the girls in all kinds of fun activities, like crafts, songs and games.
In Sparks, the emphasis is on developing friendships and exploring individual skills and talents. It's a place where girls are encouraged to try a bit of everything.
Brownies is a hands-on program all about encouraging girls to develop their own identity and positive relationships with others. Brownies gain confidence by learning skills that they can use in their daily lives; everything from safety and eco-awareness to the importance of healthy choices. Girls can also explore science and technology, the arts, camping and the outdoors, and develop commitment to their communities through service projects and special events.
Sparks and Brownies will make lots of new friends, start collecting badges and begin to learn all kinds of new things in a safe and fun atmosphere. No two Sparks and Brownies meetings are alike!
